What photo format do Hong Kong K1 applications require?

Do schools accept retouched or AI-made photos?
School-interview photos in Hong Kong have always been retouched: studios smooth the skin, change the background and adjust the light. Schools ask for a recent, clear photo of the child facing the camera, not for an unedited one, and OneTakeKid photos are made for exactly that. If a school's own instructions ask for an unedited photograph, follow them.
Can I use the photos for a passport, HKID card or visa?
No. The outfit, background and pose are made by AI, so the photos must not be used where an unedited photograph is required, such as passports, identity cards and visas. Use a photo studio for those.
Pricing and previews
Is HK$120 really cheaper than a physical studio?
Yes. Korean-style studios in Hong Kong charge from about HK$300 for interview photos, plus booking and the trip there. OneTakeKid is HK$120 for 24 photos: under half the price.
Is the free preview really free? Do I need a credit card?
Yes, it is free, and you need no credit card. A new account gets 4 free preview photos. You see AI photos of your own child before you pay. Want more tries? An optional pack of 15 preview credits costs HK$10.
Can I get a refund?
Use the free previews to judge the result before you pay: once the photos of an order are made, the payment is not refunded. If a photo fails or is missing, we make it again at our cost, and if we still cannot deliver your order, we refund it in full. Write to hello@onetakekid.com.

One upload gives you 24 school-interview photos in the backdrops, outfits, expressions and poses you pick. You choose what fits each school on your list.
Do you support Pre-nursery, K1, K2, and Primary 1 applications?
Yes, all four. You can use OneTakeKid photos for Pre-nursery, K1, K2 transfer and Primary 1 applications.
How do I prepare my child for the phone photo I upload?
Take the photo in soft natural light (near a window), facing the camera, with a neutral background if possible. One clear, calm photo is enough — the AI handles the rest.
Your child's photos
What happens to my child's photos?
Photos you do not buy are deleted 14 days after they are made. Photos you buy, and the photo they were made from, are kept for 90 days so you can download them again, then deleted; we email you before. We never use your child's photos to train AI, never sell them, and never use them in our marketing without your written permission.
